Dr Ernesto Sirolli will present at USQ Fraser Coast Dr Ernesto Sirolli, one of the world' s leading consultants on economic development is coming to Hervey Bay in June, courtesy of Win Projects and co-sponsored by University of Southern Queensland (USQ) and the Fraser Coast Regional Council.

Dr Sirolli started working in the field of International Aid in Africa in 1971 and has since worked in economic development in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, United Kingdom, Africa, Latin America, USA and Asia in projects that promote local entrepreneurship and self-determination.
He lives in the USA where he is the Founder of the Sirolli Institute, a non-profit organisation and social enterprise since 1995 that teaches community leaders, governments and corporations how to manage Enterprise Facilitation Communities.
Enterprise Facilitation teaches civic leaders how to organise themselves to capture local intelligence by training a local enterprise facilitator to introduce the fundamentals of good management to entrepreneurs.
Dr Sirolli received a Laurea di Dottore in Political Sciences from Rome University in 1976 and a PhD in Local Enterprise Facilitation from Murdoch University, Australia, in 2004. He is an Industry Fellow at CSRM University of Queensland.
He is the author of two books: Ripples from the Zambezi - Passion Entrepreneurship and the rebirth of local economics, a best seller that is used by economic development faculties in universities the world over, and

Ernesto Sirolli, PhD, received a Laurea di Dottore in Political Science from Rome University and a PhD from Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia. For over thirty years, he has worked in the US, Europe, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand in the field of local economic development. In 1984, he pioneered a novel approach to local development, based on "facilitating" the transformation of local good ideas into viable businesses. In 1985, Ernesto took this ideas and went out in the community to empower people to take responsibility for their own economic and community development. Ernesto has six years experience working for local self-reliance in African countries and over twenty years implementing Enterprise Facilitation programs in the US and other countries. For his work in Australia, he received the Silver Jubilee Award for the Best Job Creating Project in Australia. Dr. Sirolli is the founder of the Sirolli Institute International located in Sacramento, California. He is also the best-selling author of Ripples from the Zambezi: Passion, Entrepreneurship, and the Rebirth of Local Economies. In addition to his teaching schedule, Dr. Sirolli is a highly sought-after speaker and lectures around the world.
