Reverend lsaac Owusu Bempah, 31, General Overseer of the End Time Power Ministries in Accra, was yesterday arraigned before an Accra Circuit court, for allegedly purchasing a stolen vehicle. The International Police Agency
(INTERPOL) has confirmed that Owusu Bempah's
Mercedes Benz ML 270, with registration number GW 1331 T, was stolen from Mr Scolari Giorgio of Arezzo , Italy , on July 19, 2002.
According to the prosecution, Owusu Bempah
knew very well that the vehicle was a stolen one and yet went ahead and bought it.
Prosecuting, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Mr Paul Frimpong, said the value of the stolen car was $70,000 but Owusu Bempah
bought it far less than that.

Ekow allegedly promised to get the car for Owusu Bempah
at the cost of $28,000 and indicated that Owusu Bempah
would be responsible for its documentation.Owusu Bempah
allegedly paid the $28,000 but Ekow failed to deliver the vehicle.
They were later released but Ekow renegotiated with Owusu Bempah
for a Mercedes Benz.Owusu Bempah
was asked to pay an additional $22,000 which he
did while he
paid c94 million as clearing charges.
The prosecution said Owusu Bempah
sent the vehicle to Adu, who does embossment at the Driver and Vehicle Licence Authority (DVLA) for registration.
Adu collected documents from one Reverend Larbi, who was acting on behalf of Owusu Bempah
It added that in the case of Owusu Bempah
and Ekow, they should be held culpable because they knew the vehicle was stolen and yet went ahead and bought it.
