Erin was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio where she played club soccer for Cincinnati Classics Hammer FC from 1999-2007. She went on to play Division 1 Women's Soccer for the University of North Carolina from 2007-2009. Due to a career ending injury, she served as the Undergraduate Assistant Coach during the 2010 season. As a freshman, Erin appeared in 19 games and was a solid midfield substitute at the play-making center of midfield position. She tallied one goal on the season and helped lead the team to an ACC title in 2007. She was a member of the 2008 and 2009 National Championship teams. Erin graduated in December of 2011 from University of North Carolina with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science. She is currently a member of the girl's coaching staff at her old club, Classics Hammer FC.
