KMBC's Erin Little said the rain is expected to stick around through about mid-morning before clearing out. Temperatures are going to remain cool much of the day: We're starting your Wednesday in the 40s, and we're only expecting to get up into the mid to upper 50s by 5 p.m. There were about 459 Kansas City Power and Light customers in Overland Park without power early Wednesday morning. Another roughly 1,400 were without power in Jackson County in Kansas City, the utility's website reported. There might be a few brief showers and sprinkles for your drive home this evening, Little said. ERIN: THAT AND DANCING WITH THE STARS. POWERHOUSE. WE KNEW IT WOULD BE A WET MORNING DRIVE. UNFORTUNATELY THAT IS WHAT WE HAVE. WE HAVE MULTIPLE, COUNTING AT LEAST THREE ACCIDENTS BOTH SIDES OF THE STATE LINE RIGHT NOW. LET ME SHOW YOU WHAT THE MORNING COMMUTE LOOKS LIKE. HEADING INTO DOWNTOWN KANSAS CITY, HERE IS A LOOK AT THE MORNING PAVEMENT. THE ROADS GLISTENING. CERTAINLY AT A MUCH SLOWER PACE. I KNOW A LOT OF YOU WAKING UP A LITTLE EARLIER THIS MORNING.
