Erica graduated from Trent University in Canada with a BA (Hons) in English literature, minor in German. In 2001 she attained an MA in Library and Information Studies at University College London and then worked at the London College of Printing in reader services. She moved to the Tate, first to manage its new research centre before switching to acquisitions as librarian for exhibition documentation. In 2007-8 Erica ran a 10-month project to catalogue the library at the Geffrye Museum. This was followed by five years as special collections librarian at the Courtauld Institute of Art; during part of that period she was studying for an FdA in book conservation at Camberwell College of Arts. Active in the Art Libraries Society, Erica has served as editor of the international quarterly the Art Libraries Journal since mid-year 2013. Living in Heidelberg, Germany since 2013 Erica joined The London Library in 2015 to cover Judith Finnamore's maternity leave.
