Eric Schultz Sculpture Exhibit at Chapin School November 9th - December 11th
Posted on 11. Nov, 2009 by PNN Editor in Arts, Events, Painting Eric Schultz has always been an artist and a tinkerer. Since the age of five, he has been making artwork for anyone who wanted it. Through the years, he has gained knowledge about art from many different sources. Other artists, schools, private lessons, and the beautiful world we live on have helped hone his artist's eye and build experience in the art world. The Gallery at Chapin will feature the sculpture of Eric Schultz in an exhibit entitled "Discarded Visions" from November 9 through December 11, 2009 with a reception for the artist on Wednesday, November 11 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. "Art is nothing without people," states Schultz. Eric Schultz - Sculptor Eric Schultz - Sculptor Schultz transforms these treasures into common forms such as animals, cars, robots, and his own special characters. "This technique," continues Schultz "helps the viewer to identify and feel the link between the materials, the forms I create, and the stories they imagine. If I achieve this link, I feel that I have created a successful piece of artwork that everyone can enjoy. A professional sculptor for over ten years, Schultz is currently employed at The Sculpture Foundation where he creates and installs major traveling sculpture exhibitions for J. Seward Johnson and the Grounds for Sculpture. He also teaches art classes at The Garden State Discovery Museum. His work has received numerous awards and has been exhibited widely in New Jersey and Pennsylvania in museums and galleries.

Overall, it's the imaginative multilevel connection between the hidden world of manmade objects and the cycle of life that makes great art. The old adage is true: one person's trash is another person's treasure."
