"Our concerns remain and still have grown based on a lack of answers," Eric Funk, president of the Clarion Area Chamber of Business & Industry's board of directors, said Wednesday.
"We will continue to lead the fight here," Funk
and other local officials question the speed with which state legislators passed Act 44.
"It should not have occurred at the 12th hour," he
took aim at the manner in which some state officials ask tolling opponents for alternatives.
"They look to us for solutions," he
said."I don't think that's fair."
The 2005 PennDOT study that recommended I-80 not be tolled at this time "has basically been cast aside," said Funk

The tolling would be a "Band-Aid to a much bigger problem," Funk
