R. Figueroa, Jr. is a native of Brooklyn, New York born on December 9, 1986 to Bishop Eric R. Figueroa, Sr. and Evangelist Doreen Figueroa. ric was educated in the New York City Public School system where he graduated from James Madison High School, excelling academically and was the captain of the football team. Eric earned his Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Long Island University at C. W. Post, where he was a stellar Athlete and earned several academic honors. ric currently works as Parent Coordinator for the Ronald Edmonds Learning Center, I.S. 113. He is revered by his colleagues, parents, and youth. Eric' s passion is cultivating young adults males into successful men through God and athletics. Eric's charitable work can be seen through his assistance working with the youth of Jus Us, a young adult male mentoring program at New Life Tabernacle. Jus Us services approximately 35 young men coming from single parent households. At Family Life Development Center, Eric counseled youth and supervised Summer Youth workers in the Bible Vacation Camp. In addition, Eric coaches the MoBetter Jaguars- a Pop Werner Football League."A past position that Eric feels most proud of is when he served as a Site Coordinator for the Children's Defense Funds Freedom School program. At the Children's Defense program, Eric supervised Servant Leader Interns who taught an Integrated Reading Curriculum to Middle School youth. Bishop Eric R. Figueroa, Sr. his father, is the 27 year pastor and founder of the New Life Tabernacle. Eric R. Figueroa, Sr., a world renown preacher, outstanding teacher, and gospel recording artist, also serves as the presiding Prelate of the New Life Covenant Fellowship, Evangelist Doreen Figueroa, Eric's mother comes from a musically talented family and has gained much of her success through her experience. Evangelist Figueroa is not only well known for her magnetic singing ability, but she also bears the distinguished title of "First Lady" of New Life Tabernacle. Lady Doreen continues to mesmerize audiences with anointed gospel singing and preaching to this day. Eric, Jr. is blessed with two equally talented sisters, Timiney Figueroa-Caton, and Anaysha Figueroa who are anointed singers in their own right and who have both had the opportunity to share their musical talent on every continent. Eric started singing with the NLT Youth Choir as early as two years old. Eric later accepted Chris; he became an active member, served on the usher board as well as various other auxiliaries. s Eric continues to mature, you can find him in more administrative areas in ministry. Eric is a member of the Generation of Praise, the NLT Mass Choir, an adjutant to his father and can be found any Sunday leading worship and praise. Eric continues to amaze his father and family in that he has really taken on the honor of ministry. Eric has initiated the programming and facilitating of our annual youth conferences. Outside of his works in New Life Tabernacle, Eric has a heart for pastors kids. As a result, Eric was selected to be the PK Conference Coordinator for the PK Network Conference in 2010 a conference that empowered preacher's and their children. n May 2, 2010 Eric became an Aspirant Deacon in the Lords church, a step towards the calling his father is continuing to pray for. Although young in age, Eric is a living example of 1 Corinthians 13:11 -"When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things."
