Eric Engle, a St. Charles man, was sentenced today to 27 months in prison for defrauding his employer of $342,430.
Engle pleaded guilty of wire fraud in March.
Engle worked as a manager for the North Central Division of LabCorp Inc. from 2007 until September of 2011.
The St. Charles County company
runs patient centers for people whose doctors direct them to have blood samples analyzed.

Eric Engle, 37, was a territory manager for the north central division of LabCorp Inc. in 2007-11 when he created a fake cleaning service company called OptiClean and used it to charge LabCorp for work never done.
Engle pleaded guilty of wire fraud and is to be sentenced June 1.

Eric Engle was hired by the company in 2004, according to his LinkedIn profile, and is accused of stealing from LabCorp from 2007 to the end of September.
LabCorp analyzes blood samples for physicians.
Engle was the St. Louis regional manager for LabCorp.
According to the charges, Engle
created a company called OptiClean, then billed LabCorp
for work that was never done.
OpticClean was created Jan. 25, 2008, and Engle was the registered agent, according to records with the Missouri Secretary of State's office.
OptiClean was presented as a cleaning service.
The Secretary of State's office dissolved OptiClean later in 2008 for not filing an annual registration report.
A federal grand jury indicted Engle
on Nov. 9 on a charge of wire fraud.
