Mr. Chesley received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Western Kentucky University, graduating with honors.
He received his Juris Doctorate from Northern Kentucky University's Chase College of Law and is licensed to practice law in both Utah and Kentucky.
While working towards a computer science degree, Mr. Chesley
studied computer networking, database architecture, operating systems, assembly language and software engineering.
In addition, he
also studied computer information systems, thus providing him with a well rounded understanding of both computer system software and hardware architectures.
After receiving his undergraduate degree, he spent eight years working as a systems analyst and programmer.
During his time working in industry, Mr. Chesley worked with many different technologies including object oriented programming languages, relational databases, multi-tiered systems, and web based applications.
Mr. Chesley continued working full-time as a systems analyst while attending law school.
During this time, he
legal studies on patent prosecution.
Upon receiving his law degree, he worked with small businesses addressing their intellectual property needs by preparing patent applications, trademark applications, and handling intellectual property disputes.
has also assisted in several patent litigation cases, managing document review of electronically stored information (ESI).
is admitted to the Utah and Kentucky State Bars
, and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
is admitted before both the state and U.S. Federal courts.
