Enrique Marroquin Senior Vice President, Project Development
As a senior vice president of Hunt Power, Enrique Marroquin has been responsible for developing and growing the groupâ€™s greenfield electric transmission projects with a particular focus on electric interconnections between the southwest region of the US and Mexico.
was responsible for launching the groupâ€™s power wholesale unit for the ERCOT-Mexico markets, and is focused on originating all US-Mexico cross border electricity transactions for this unit.
work also includes developing additional energy infrastructure opportunities south of the border, and, via other Hunt affiliates, he
participates in other investment and private equity activities there.
Previously, he was director of planning and development and CFO for Grupo Vanguardia, a privately-owned media, real estate development and lodging group in northern Mexico.
Before that, he served in different business and infrastructure development roles at Grupo Cydsa, a publicly-traded industrial conglomerate based in Monterrey, Mexico.
Marroquin is a graduate of Monterrey Institute of Technology (ITESM) with a BSc in chemical and systems engineering, graduating magna cum laude.
also earned a MASc in chemical engineering from the University of Waterloo
, and an MBA from the Edwin L. Cox School of Business of Southern Methodist University
(SMU) in Dallas.
