Emily Keats, MACP, BCBA - Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, Clinical Director
Ms. Keats began her career in the social services field in 1994 as a front line worker in group homes, supporting adults and children with developmental disabilities and severe behavioral challenges, and in later positions as a home support worker, respite care provider, Special Education Assistant, and Infant Development Consultant.
Since 2004, Ms. Keats
has been practicing as a Behavior Consultant in both private practice and as a contractor.
She joined New Horizons as a Behaviour Analyst and Clinical Director in 2013.
Ms. Keats completed graduate education in psychology, human development, developmental disabilities, and applied behavior analysis and is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA Certificant #1-11-8772).
Ms. Keats is a full member of Applied Behaviour Analysis International and served as Secretary for the BC Association for Behaviour Analysis from 2009-2013.
She is a Category A Behaviour Consultant on the Registry of Autism Service Providers (MCFD).
She is also a Clinical Counsellor.

accentuates strengths of both the person being supported as well as their multi-disciplinary team.
As well as providing clinical support to New Horizons
team members, Ms. Keats
provides Behaviour Consultation services, such as functional behaviour assessment & Functional Analysis of challenging behaviour, Positive Behaviour Support Plans, Safety Plans, and training.
employs a person-centred approach and promotes positive, preventative, and least restrictive methods of behavioral change.
