Emily EngbergREPORTER Emily joined the CBS 58 News team in March 2007.She comes to us from WGEM-TV in Quincy, Illinois where she began her career as the Southeast Iowa Bureau Reporter.
In 2003, she
became co-anchor of WGEM's Live at Five.In 2005, she
switched to morning news as co-anchor of WGEM's News
at Sunrise.In 2006, she added noon news to her schedule when she also became anchor and producer of WGEM's News at Noon.In addition to making numerous public appearances in Quincy, Emily was the host of Quincy University's Academic Challenge for two years.
The show challenged the wits of area high school students in a one-half hour televised program that aired from November to February.Prior to joining WGEM, Emily was the News Director for Burlington, Iowa Radio stations KKMI, KQ92, and KDMG.Emily is a 2002 graduate of Arizona State University with a major in Broadcast Journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.She
also has a minor in Communication from the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication

Growing up in Iowa, Emily
was the 1999 Miss Burlington.
has done extensive volunteer work in various Breast Cancer Awareness Programs including her
association with the Des Moines County, Iowa Chapter of the American Cancer Society; participation in Relays for Life and similar programs in Iowa and Arizona; and presentations of numerous educational programs directed toward combating the disease and assisting those affected by it.Emily
continues to be active in the Miss America Scholarship Program through service as Master of Ceremonies for the Miss Burlington, Iowa and the Miss Quincy, Illinois pageants.She also served as a judge in the 2007 Miss Greater St. Louis Pageant in St. Louis, Missouri.Emily
