mcall.com - Lehigh University group to hold Halloween tour, party for children

"I think this will be an amazing time for the kids," said Lehigh student Emily Aagaard, a volunteer at the Community Service Office who helped coordinate Spooktacular."We cut out invitations and sent them to every kid in all of south Bethlehem's elementary schools," Aagaard said."But any child who wants to come is invited, of course."Check-in is from 3:30-4 p.m. at Ulrich Student Center, 39 University Drive.Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and activities will include making name tags, decorating goody bags and painting pumpkins. From there, the children will be divided into smaller groups and taken on a Halloween-themed tour of campus buildings by Lehigh students.Aagaard said the event was made entirely possible by donations from community and campus groups."We have students involved who love kids, and since Halloween has been missing from Lehigh's campus in past years, this way we can celebrate by helping kids have a good time," she said.
