In 2009, Emilio co-founded Greater Good Giving, a fundraising consulting firm that mobilizes resources, partnerships and funding for nonprofit organizations.
As Greater Good Giving's COO, Emilio is responsible for client relations, business development, accounting, drafting and negotiating contracts and managing employees.
Also, Emilio currently serves as Development Director at Hackensack Riverkeeper, one of New Jersey's most impactful environmental organizations.
is responsible for raising the organization's annual budget towards the restoration and protection of the river and watershed in which he
successfully launched the organization's first Corporate Membership program, increased revenue of the annual gala by 70% and increased the number of major donors by 25%.
Furthermore, Emilio is President of the Board of Directors of the Jersey City Food Cooperative, which he helped found in 2010.
Serving as the city's first cooperative dedicated to providing fresh and organic food to all Jersey City residents regardless of income, Emilio oversees the organization's operating structure, including fundraising activities, community outreach and coordinating cooperative "owners," volunteers and interns.
Prior to the work described above, Emilio helped launch a new media start-up called ArsenalAV, a digital video production company.

Emilio's previous international and volunteer work includes teaching English to urban communities in Mexico, working with homeless populations in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, working with the formally incarcerated in Jersey City, NJ and working with social, environmental and economic justice organizations in San Francisco.
Emilio also worked for the Government of the Dominican Republic affiliate organization, COPDES, focusing on the role of corporate social responsibility in the achievement of the United Nations' Millennium Development Goals.
Emilio received a master's degree in Latin American Studies from New York University and an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Clark University.
