Elysa Jones

Elysa Jones, Chief Technology Officer, is an internationally recognized expert in emergency interoperability communications via data messaging. She holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science and has over 30 years' experience in applied computer science with the last 14 in emergency management systems. She was a board member for the Partnership for Public Warning, the Emergency Information Infrastructure Project, won the leadership award for emergency interoperability from the Emergency Interoperability Consortium. She chairs the OASIS Technical Committee, which developed the first international emergency data standard for communicating alerts and warnings, the Common Alerting Protocol (CAP).

Elysa Jones is an internationally recognized expert in Emergency Interoperability Communications via Data Messaging. Elysa has been Chair of the OASIS Emergency Management Technical Committee (EM-TC) since 2004 and through her leadership; the EM-TC has developed the Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) Standard. She was a founding member of the Partnership for Public Warning. She currently serves as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of MyStateUSA and for thirteen years prior, she was the CTO of Warning Systems Inc., where she developed web-based control systems for many types of tone-encoded devices that could be activated geographically and immediately by CAP messages. She holds a Baccalaureate Degree in Economics and Master's Degree in Computer Science was awarded the first annual Leadership Award in Emergency Interoperability by the Emergency Interoperability Consortium as an advocate for the adoption of EDXL messaging standards and the implementation of CAP.

Elysa Jones Elysa Jones chairs the OASIS Emergency Management Technical Committee and serves on the OASIS Emergency Interoperability Member Section Steering Committee. She represents Warning Systems, a provider of public alert and notification systems. Elysa is well recognized as a leader in the emergency management community. She served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Partnership for Public Warning and also works closely with the Emergency Interoperability Consortium.
