Rabbi Ely M. Braun like many of us wears many hats.As an Orthodox Jew he
always wears a yarmulke (a Jewish religious skull cap), professionally, however, he
wears two hats.He is the director of the Gishur Center for Counseling and Mediation is as well as the director of the Ottawa College of Jewish studies.
As a psychotherapist, mediator and coach, Rabbi Braun is available to work with individuals and couples in dealing with lives difficult problems.Rabbi Braun is also trained to teach Couples and Core Communication a copyrighted program of The Interpersonal Communication programs, Inc.As part of his continuing education, in 2005-2006, Rabbi Braun was the first cleric to be accepted in the Brief Dynamic Psychotherapy Course affiliated with the University of Ottawa.Rabbi Braun is a member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counselors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists (OACCPP) and follows their professional standards.

childhood in Israel and was educated in Brooklyn New York.In New York City.He was licensed as a junior high school social studies teacher, received his rabbinical training and got his first experience as a university teacher.He Earned His Master's of Science in Education at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.In the 35 years since his ordination, Ely Braun has served as a CPE trained chaplain, educator, psychotherapist and pulpit Rabbi.
