Elvira Medina, president of the National Center for Commuter Safety and Protection, noted the efforts of the HPG to ease the traffic and to discipline the motorists along the busy thoroughfare as she compared the cops to MMDA enforcers.
"The HPG people were really focused.
They were not talking to each other.
They were not using cellphones.
They were not smoking.
They were not sloppy," Medina
said in an interview with Karen Davila on ANC's Headstart.
called on the authorities to rid sidewalks of vendors and other obstructions that impede public mobility.
"Give back the sidewalks to the commuters so that they can be properly disciplined," she
stressed that the country can only go so far with the new road measures through order and discipline.
