Ellen M. Iseman | Ellen Iseman Ellen M. Iseman LIBRARY TRUSTEE: NYSL: Ellen M. Iseman Ellen M. Iseman has been a Trustee of the New York Society Library since 2006. BIOGRAPHY: A New York City native, Ellen Iseman attended The Dalton School and holds a B.A. with honors from Yale College, where she received the Bildner Prize for scholarship in Latin American literature. During the Carter Administration, she served as Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs and on the National Security Council transition staff. Thereafter she was Vice President for Corporate Affairs and Communications at American Express Company's headquarters. For the past decade, she has been president of Issues Management International Inc. in New York City, which provides speechwriting, annual reports, research and writing for corporations, public agencies and not-for-profits. Ms. Iseman has written more than twenty articles for publication, mostly on issues relating to international investment and economic development, including three op-eds for The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. In addition to the Library, she sits on the board of CEC International Partners. A board member at the Yale Club of New York City, she has chaired their library for more than a decade; she is a member of the Cosmopolitan Club and is on their House Committee.

We were pleased to welcome two new Board members in 2006: Ellen Iseman and Laurence Bergreen. Ellen, who chairs the Library Committee at the Yale Club, brings great energy and broad intellectual and artistic interests to our Lecture and Exhibition Committee and Development Committee.
