Herbst, 83, of LaGrange, died Monday at Hospice LaGrange.Mrs. Herbst, born November 19, 1918 in Kansas City, Mo., was the daughter of the late David and Clara VanHoy Risk. Mrs. Herbst had lived in LaGrange 47 years, and taught at Troup High School and retired from the Troup County School System after 20 years of service. Mrs. Herbst was a graduate of Harris Teachers College in St. Louis, Mo.; where she also taught school.She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association.Mrs. Herbst was a member of the First Baptist Church on the Square where she taught adult Sunday School.She was member of the WMU and a former member of the choir.
