...Judge DeShazer is currently Chair of the Judges Roundtable Committee and is also a member of the National Drug Court Institute (NCDI), the teaching arm of the National Association of Drug Court Professionals.NDCI
is responsible for developing the curriculum for establishing, developing, and training Drug Courts in other jurisdictions around the country.
As a result of her
pioneering leadership in the establishment, development and training for Drug Courts in the country, Judge DeShazer
has been honored by several organizations including the John M. Langston Bar Association Hall of Fame Award
, City of Compton - Woman of the Year Award, and Judge of the Year Award from the South Central Branch of the American Cancer Society
