Elizabeth Haas She was born in Leominster, Mass., moving to Harwich in 1973, and wintered in Bradenton, Fla. She was a 1943 graduate of Leominster High School and attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and Purdue University.She was active in the Kappa Kappa Gamma alumni organization. Mrs. Haas was a homemaker and worked at Cape Cod Tech and Cape Cod Five.During World War II she worked at Curtis Wright in Columbus, Ohio, in the drafting department.She had worked in the children's department of Sears, Roebuck & Co. in Leominster. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Church, Chatham, Mass., and was former president of the Harwich Evening Women's Club.She was a volunteer at Blake Hospital, Bradenton, and was a former director of the Mount Vernon Association. The widow of Harold A. Haas, she is survived by three sons, Thomas J. Haas of Leominster, Michael R. Haas of South Harwich and Stephen Haas of Brewster, Mass.; three daughters, Janice Ramaska of Derry, Cassandra Rodier of Exeter and Sharon Belanger of Milbridge, Maine; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, John Julian of Lancaster, Mass.; and one sister, Virginia Lagoy of Leominster. She was predeceased by one son, James C. Haas. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Wednesday in Holy Redeemer Church, Chatham.Burial was in Island Pond Cemetery, Harwich.
