Dr. Elizabeth (Payne) Clay
A 1968 graduate of Cooper, Dr. Clay
is being recognized for her
outstanding accomplishments, both at Cooper and professionally.While at Cooper, Dr. Clay won a "C" award, was a member of the National Honor Society.
Madrigal Singers, varsity tennis team, concert choir, and was a top five scholar.She received a B.S. is Biology from Southern Methodist and a Ph.D. in Molecular Physiology from Vanderbilt University.She
is credited with discovering the enzyme "Multifunctional Calmodulin-dependent Protein Kinase II," and has been a Research Staff-Fellow at the National Institute of Health
(National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute).
