, a specialist in international relations in charge of northern Africa in the section of Amnesty International
The meeting covered the situation of human rights in Western Sahara, especially old and new violations, and the situation of Sahrawi political prisoners, the constraints that hamper the work of human rights defenders, and the non-registration of Sahrawi associations and committees by the Moroccan state, as the case of ASVDH
, despite the judgment of the administrative court of Agadir, Morocco.
The meeting also focused on the discontent of Sahrawis on the work of the Moroccan reconciliation commission (IER) in general.
On Tuesday, August 12, 2008, Ms. DJIMI met Mr Francois Naeff, Chairman of the North Africa Department at the Dutch Ministry of Exterior's Division North Africa and Middle East, and Ms. Marjolijn Luchtmeijr, charged with the task of the Directorate of Africa and the Middle East, North Africa department.
