Eleanor Raye, Executive Director of the Worcester County Insurance Institute works with a company that uses the CPCU/IIA course material as part of their in-house training programs. She is helping to design a nationwide program for the personal lines. She states, " AICPCU courses will be prominently featured. It makes sense. The material is of high quality and will supplement the learning these folks get as they rotate through various departments. And ... the cost is cheap when compared to the alternative of developing their own and ... it's all developed, packaged, and can be brought on-line quickly." In another company, Eleanor provides AICPCU courses on-location at lunchtime or after work.Eleanor presented an interesting point about the use of these courses in helping new hires to get up to speed faster. She discussed that employers in her area had identified a great concern for the loss of knowledge as their workforce is aging and retiring. They are experiencing problems in hiring the young professionals and also in retaining them. For Eleanor's classroom program, mailings and communication to companies is critical.
