There is a tendency to think of what is "right" as a recognized political "right" in the U.S.A. For Jews, however, what is right has a different source: Torah.
Political freedom, or civil rights, gives the right to make a choice.
What, however, is the moral/ethical guidance on what choice is right?
Judaism gives answers---ones which are rooted in ancient wisdom and the highest possible authority.
well reminds us that the roles of the sexes are rooted in Halakah and the thousands of years of tradition; it is not---and should not be---the product of what is popular in the narrow slice of history in which we live.
