...Eileen EichlerEileen Eichler received her degree in Accounting from Herbert Lehman College and began her accounting career as a Revenue Agent for the Internal Revenue Service.

became a stay at home mom while establishing and maintaining a private tax practice.In 1982 she was offered the opportunity to teach Accounting part time at Farmingdale State.
Teaching as well as the opportunity to have positive impact on traditional and nontraditional students became Eileen's' true calling. After receiving her Masters degree in Taxation from C. W. Post College, she was appointed to the full-time Business Administration faculty in 1987.In 2000, she was appointed Assistant Chair of the Business Department and Co-Director of the Management Technology Program.In 2001, she was appointed Dean of the School of Business.As Dean, she is responsible for all instructional programs within the school.
These include Business and Management Technology, Computer Programming and Information Systems, Ornamental Horticulture, and Visual Communications.The School of Business has an enrollment of approximately 1700 students.Eileen
provides leadership in the areas of curriculum development, faculty and staff development, program assessment, student recruitment, advisement, and retention.
Among Eileen's numerous awards is the 1993 SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching.This award is presented to educators having demonstrated the highest caliber of teaching effectiveness.She
is a three-time recipient of the Faculty Advisor of the Year Award for her
work with the students in the Accounting Society
.During her years as faculty advisor, Eileen proudly hosted the Suffolk County Special Olympics Swim Meets.She
is listed in numerous editions of Who's Who in Education, and Two Thousand Notable American Women.In 2001, the Farmingdale Alumni Association
with the Excellence in Education Award.In 2004 Eileen
was awarded the Tiara Recognition Award from the M3P Organization
as being one of the Most Influential Women on Long Island.Eileen is active in the Long Island community, serving on the board of directors of the Institute of Management Accountants, Women Economic Developers of Long Island, APICS (Association of Operations Management), and the Stonehenge Foundation. Eileen
is grateful every single day for the love and support of her
