Edwin Nevis Edwin Nevis is the CEO and Group Head, Banking Operations and Global Shared Service Centres (GSSCs)
Prior to his move to Chennai, Edwin was the Head of Global Shared Service Centre, Kuala Lumpur and Chief Information of Officer Standard Chartered Bank, Malaysia.
During his 11-year tenure in Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) Singapore, he took on a number of regional and project director roles. During his three and a half years in KL, Edwin has introduced a number of reengineering and automation initiatives to drive productivity and scalability.
Edwin has over three decades of professional experience in the Standard Chartered Group, spanning a wide gamut of banking services. He started his career in SCB Malaysia and spent a brief time in the Consumer Banking and Wholesale Banking areas before moving on to Technology. The major portion of his tenure in Malaysia was spent in the technology space and he served as the country head of Technology in Malaysia for a number of years.
During his 10-year tenure in Singapore, he took on a number of regional and project director roles. He was a key member of the Group's Multi Business Processing (MBP) initiative which resulted in the setting up of the Group's two GSSCs, one in Chennai and another one in KL.

Chennai: Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Edwin Nevis as the new head of the Chennai-based captive BPO for the Standard Chartered group, Scope International Pvt Ltd.
Nevis is currently heading Standard Chartered's shared service centre in Kuala Lumur and is also the chief information officer for the bank in Malaysia.He has been with Standard Chartered group for over 30 years.
Nevis was involved in setting up the processing hubs in Chennai and Kuala Lumpur and was a key member of the original project team.

Speaking after flagging off the runners, Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia global shared service centre Kuala Lumpur head Edwin Nevis said the bank's relationship with the homes encompassed weekly activities between bank staff and the children.
