(HARTFORD, Conn.) - Edward F. Rabe, Jr., M.D., Ph.D., has been named chairman and director of behavioral health services at Saint Francis Care Behavioral Health.Dr. Rabe most recently served as medical director of adolescent programs at Bournewood Hospital and medical director of Bournewood Health Systems, Brookline, Mass. In addition, he held an appointment as an assistant professor of psychiatry at the Boston University School of Medicine.He received his doctorate in psychology from Brown University, Providence, R.I., and his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine.He served a medical internship at Waltham Hospital, Waltham, Mass., a residency in adult psychiatry at the Massachusetts Mental Health Center, Boston, and a residency in child psychiatry at The Children's Hospital, Boston.In addition, Dr. Rabe served as an assistant fellow and fellow in child psychiatry at the Judge Baker Guidance Center, Boston.He is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and of its subspecialty boards in child/adolescent psychiatry and forensic psychiatry.
