...ABOUT EDUARDO GARRIGUES:Currently, Spanish Ambassador to Norway and Iceland, Eduardo Garrigues has held a long list of positions including: Counselor at the Spanish Embassy in Kenya (where he drew inspiration for his earlier novel The Grass Rains); Counselor at the Permanent Representation of Spain to the United Nations (NY); Advisor for the UN Security Council; Deputy Director General for African Affairs at the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Director of the Spanish Institute and Cultural Counselor at the Spanish Embassy in London; Consul General of Spain in Los Angeles; Director General of the "Casa de América," which is the major Cultural Center in Madrid dealing with Latin American & North American culture; and Spanish Ambassador to Namibia and Botswana.Garrigues
has five previous books to his
credit, one of which, The Grass Rains, was first published in Spanish and included as a "Círculo Lectores" selection, then published in English by Macmillan (N.Y.). Garrigues
currently lives in Oslo, Norway.During his
