Edna McMillan received a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Masters of Fine Arts in painting from Louisiana Tech University and Louisiana Tech Rome, Italy.
has teaching experience in both the university and public schools.
Over the past twenty years, McMillan
has enjoyed teaching classes in painting, design, drawing, color, crafts, art appreciation, public school art, and art for elementary teachers at Cameron University
in Lawton, Oklahoma.
McMillan became chair of the art department in 2000 and developed the proposal to add the graphic design concentration to the B.F.A. program.
She has been an educational arts consultant for Oklahoma public schools.
has been active in visual arts curriculum development and has presented numerous professional development teacher workshops throughout the state.
has also written multiple grants to fund visiting artists and workshops in the Lawton community and has directed the Creative Expressions summer art youth program for the past ten years.
