It gives us great joy to announce that Father Edmond Kline has been appointed Associate Pastor of Blessed Sacrament.Fr. Kline, originally from La Crosse, Kansas, is already familiar to some at Blessed Sacrament as he spent time here as a seminarian and a deacon, offering his First Mass of Thanksgiving here.Fr. Kline was ordained in 2004 for the Wichita Diocese and has served as Associate Pastor at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton and Saint Francis of Assisi parishes. In August of 2007, Fr. Kline requested permission to live with the Franciscan Community of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Binghamton, New York, in order to discern a vocation to religious life.
After six months of prayer and discernment, Fr. Kline
asked Bishop Jackels to return to pastoral ministry in the diocese of Wichita. In his letter of appointment, Bishop Jackels indicated that Fr. Kline would serve as Associate Pastor of Blessed Sacrament "at least until the end of June, but perhaps longer, depending on the needs of the Diocese."
