Eddie Deitz, Pastor Eddie Deitz became pastor of Allens Creek Baptist Church in July of 2003.
Previously Pastor Deitz
had ministered for eighteen years at the Franklin Grove Baptist Church in Bryson City, North Carolina.
Most people who are familiar with Southern Gospel Music know Eddie
came on the scene as the baritone singer for The Inspirations
in 1969.Until his
departure from that group in 1998, Eddie
enjoyed many blessings in the Gospel Music industry.Three times he
was voted the Favorite Baritone Singer by the Singing News Magazine subscribers.While with the Inspirations, he
helped receive the Favorite Gospel Group Award six different times.Most of you recognize his
voice on hits he
introduced.Songs such as, "The Unseen Hand", "A Rose Among Thorns", and Eddie's
top ten song of 1997, "Thank You, Lord", are still favorites with singing audiences everywhere.In addition to his
has been preaching the gospel since he
was seventeen years old.He served as pastor of several bivocational churches while pursuing his education at Western Carolina University.
After college, Eddie
pastored the Crabtree Baptist Church in Clyde, North Carolina, as well as Franklin Grove, and his
present pastorate of Allens Creek
also spent six years ministering through fulltime evangelism.Besides being a pastor, evangelist, and singer, Eddie is also an author.He
first book in 1997.The first book he
wrote is called "What Does Prayer Enable God To Do?".This book enables the reader to understand more about the results of prayer as it gleans practical truths from the prayer life of Jesus Christ.This book has been a great success, and Eddie hopes to release his
second book very soon. Eddie
has been married to his wife, Sandra (Sandy) Dillard Deitz, for over thirty-six years.
and Sandy presently reside near their church in Waynesville, North Carolina.
