Ed Urban's Presentation to the MSHP
Mr. Ed Urban, local resident and graduate of MCHS, graced the Marengo community once again with a very interesting program, "The Dark Side of Marengo and McHenry County", at the June 10, 2010 meeting held in the basement fellowship room of the United Methodist Church. This program brought a greater awareness of police work and the unique situations involving murders that occured before 1940. The audience had many questions for Ed following his formal presentation! At the February, 2009, MSHP meeting, Ed had presented the program, "Marengo in the Civil War". The large group attending truly gained a greater knowledge of Marengo's volunteers. Ed is a long-time member of the McHenry County Civil War Round Table. The MSHP was greatly appreciative of Mr. Urban's research on the subject and all the additional comments made by those in attendance. Urban commented that even he was amazed at the amount of information available, admitting that there is more information to be discovered.
