Dustin Heckman, director of the Mower County Historical Society, said his office has 16 of the 20 Townships' records on microfilm.
He has applied for additional grant funding to complete the other four Townships' records. Heckman announced the Fall Harvest will be held on the Fairgrounds on September 23. Heckman also stated Society staff and Board members will be evaluating all of the items belonging to the Society and deciding what is relevant to Mower County. He commented that a series of public forums will be held in the near future to allow thew public to come to the Society, see what they are attempting to do, what and why, and provide an opportunity for community feedback, as well, a chance to voice their own opinions about the process.
