was raised in the automobile business.His
grandfather started the Ford Dealership in Helena, Montana in 1924, where it remained in the family for 71 years.After graduating from the University of Montana with a degree in Business, Dugan went to work at the Ford store, where he occupied various positions including F&I, sales management, fleet sales and general management.
While in Helena, Dugan
also attended and graduated from the NADA Dealer Candidate Academy class II.
After 5 years at the Ford
store, an opportunity arose in Northwest Montana for Dugan
to own his
own store.In May of 1982, Dugan
wife Terry moved to Kalispell, Montana to operate their newly acquired Toyota store.Dugan
and Terry worked side by side until the dealership sold in 2002.Terry still works at the dealership, where she
consistently occupies the top sales position.During the 20 years of ownership, Dugan occupied numerous positions with various organizations, including Dealer Council Representative, Montana Automobile Dealers Association Import Director, President of the Montana Toyota Dealers Advertising Association and Montana Board Representative to the Northwest Toyota Dealers Advertising Association.
Additionally, the dealership was a multiple year winner of Toyota's highest award, the Presidents Award, and various other awards to numerous to list.
Having occupied every position in an automobile dealership, Dugan
is well versed in every aspect of dealership operation, including the tremendous opportunities afforded by this exciting industry.He's
excited about sharing with others the possibilities available to those willing to put forth the effort.Dugan
and Terry reside in Kalispell, Montana with their daughter, Lane, who is currently attending the local Community College.
