Duane Skavdahl, Partner
Duane Skavdahl is admitted to practice law in Ohio, Kentucky and California.
Originally from Minnesota, he graduated from Moorhead State University in 1969 with bachelor of science degrees in social studies and physical education.
Before attending law school,
he taught high school and coached football and basketball in central Minnesota for eight years.
Mr. Skavdahl then attended and graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, Calif., in 1980.
His previous legal experience includes 10 years with the firm of
Kosmo, Cho & Brown in Ventura, Calif.
Mr. Skavdahl was involved in representing clients in litigated matters, including medical malpractice, products liability, construction defects, insurance bad faith and other types of torts in California for more than 12 years.
He has been in practice in the Cincinnati area since August 1993.
In addition to the practice of law, he was involved in local government while living in California, serving as the chairperson of a local municipal governing body.
Mr. Skavdahl taught insurance law from 1987 to 1992 at Pepperdine University School of Law and in 1994 at Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University.
He is married and has three daughters.
He is the former treasurer of the Southern Eastern Great Lakes Figure Skating Council and past President of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
