Mr. Douglas Gaffney joins GBA
Mr. Douglas Gaffney has joined Gahagan & Bryant Associates, Inc. as a Senior Associate.
Doug is a Professional Engineer and a Diplomate of Coastal Engineering.
brings with him over 28 years of experience in the fields of coastal and waterfront engineering, geosynthetics and dredging, throughout both the U.S. and internationally.
most recent activities include the design of a beach restoration project in Atlantic City, NJ, several projects assisting the NJDOT manage dredged material, and a multiyear project for the European Union
assisting the Government of Guyana with their sea and river defenses.
has focused on the design and execution of innovative solutions to complex waterfront problems.
Doug started his career with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and is familiar with the planning process as well as government procedures for contracting, project management, financing, and permitting.
Mr. Gaffney received a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY and a Master of Science in Marine Studies from the University of Delaware, Newark, DE.

will be focusing on bringing value to our Port clients through the application of new technologies and by applying sound dredged material management principals.
Doug will also be continuing his work in the fields of coastal engineering and restoration.
