Abby Brenneman of Hot Springs High School and Scott Carnahan, a student at the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts, recently met with philanthropist Dorothy Morris to thank her for donating a total of $2,000 in seed money for Sister City Program student exchanges.
Morris, founder of the Morris Foundation, is a well-known philanthropist who lends support to many local projects. Another seed grant from her foundation helped fund the travel costs of four Fountain Lake High School EASTLab students to travel to Hanamaki in 2007 and capture film footage that was used to produce the award-winning documentary, "Hot Springs and Hanamaki: A Perfect Match.
