program "America Supports You."Doris McCarley spent the first three years of World War II in nursing school and one year working as a full-time Navy nurse.She then went to work as a nurse at the Veterans Affairs hospital in Memphis, Tenn., where she worked for 20 years.McCarley
, 88, of Montgomery, also has several family members in the service.Her two sons joined the Marine Corps, and one of her two daughters married an airman who recently retired as a colonel after teaching at Air University at Maxwell Air Force Base.
