Dr. Donna Polk-Primm
CEO, Nebraska Urban Indian Health Coalition For 18 years, Donna Polk-Primm, Ph.D. has been the executive director of the Nebraska Urban Indian Health Coalition. She was the director of counseling at the Lincoln Indian Center and has management experience with the Nebraska Department of Labor. She serves on the board of the National Council of Urban Indian Health and is the treasurer of the Aberdeen Area Alcohol Program Directors Association. She has received numerous awards for her community service, advocacy and contributions to improving the health care system. Today NUIHC, the only urban Indian organization in Omaha, is governed by a six member Native American board of directors.

Among the more creative suggestions brought forth by the renewed legislative study are those made by two women: Donna Polk-Primm, executive director of the Nebraska Urban Indian Health Coalition, and Judi Morgan gaiashkibos, executive director of the Nebraska Commission on Indian Affairs, who suggested that state taxes collected at Whiteclay be used for alcohol treatment of Natives at Pine Ridge or in Nebraska, and possibly for job creation on the reservation.
