Donna currently serves on the Advisory Board for the UF College of Journalism, where she mentors future journalists.

is passionate about reporting on issues dealing with families and health.
She serves on the board of the local American Cancer Society, and chaired the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in 2010, an event which was awarded most over-goal and largest growth of any walk of its kind in Florida.
A story she
wrote about her
mom's battle against breast cancer was recently published in a book about female survivors.
