The Consortium of Endowed Parishes:
Donald Fishburne retired from of Saint Paul's Chattanooga in the spring of 2015.
He brought the parish with a $10 million endowment into the Consortium - as he did with two previous parishes in Georgia and Florida when he initiated and built their endowments.
He has served parishes large and small in the Carolinas in his 33 years of ordained ministry.
He has served in five dioceses on diocesan standing committees, conference center boards, commissions on stewardship, congregational development, Christian education, youth and college ministries.
He serves on the Board of Regents at Sewanee, with board responsibility for a $300 million endowment.
He now serves as an associate at St. John's Chattanooga and is affiliated with EO Tours, an organization that creates educational tours throughout the world for churches.

Donald Fishburne is our new Rector!
The Rev. Donald Allston Fishburne, D. Min, has answered our call to be Rector of St. Paul's Church
preached here on our Patronal Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul on Sunday, January 27th and moves here by Ash Wednesday to take up his
ministry. For the last seven years he has led congregational development as Rector of Saint Michael and All Angels Church, Sanibel Island, Florida, focusing on preaching and worship, developing ministry leaders and teams, Stewardship of the Riches of God's Grace, outreach ministries, pastoral care ministries, and endowment building. Donald
and his wife Sarah Vann Fishburne have been married for 21 years.

said, "and I am grateful to your Search Committee
which worked so hard, carefully and prayerfully."
For ten years, the decade of the 1990s, he
specialized in city ministry at Saint Paul's, Augusta, Georgia, the downtown colonial parish on the Riverwalk, leading in the upbuilding of that congregation as it assisted in the launch of another congregation.He
has also served parishes in the Carolinas in his
28 years of ordained ministry.He serves on the Board of Regents of The University of the South (Sewanee), and also chairs the Visiting Committee to its School of Theology. He is a native of Charleston, SC, a lifelong Episcopalian and a graduate of The University of the South ( B.A.) and The Virginia Theological Seminary (M.Div.).He also earned a Doctorate in Ministry from Sewanee.

Fishburne is a graduate of The University of the South and The Virginia Theological Seminary.He holds a Doctorate in Ministry from Sewanee and is on the Board of Visitors and is a Trustee of the University.He was in the pilot group for CREDO and is in a pilot group for CREDO II.He was ordained in 1979 and served parishes in the Carolinas and Georgia before becoming Rector of Saint Michael's Church 6 years ago.
