Brenner is Founder and a Principal of The Brenner Group, a litigation, financial and operational consulting firm providing forensic accounting, expert witness and crisis management services to a variety of industries. Since founding The Brenner Group in 1983, Mr. Brenner has worked on a variety of assignments, including litigation support and expert testimony, and crisis management / workout assignments.The litigation assignments have dealt with construction / engineering disputes, fraud, accountants malpractice, real estate matters and damage calculations.His involvement on crisis management assignments have included the roles of President / C.E.O. of a large national mechanical contractor in re-organization, Chief Executive Officer of a international electrical and mechanical contractor in a turnaround mode, a crisis manager of a general contractor in workout, and consulting on the restructuring of a specialty subcontractor. Mr. Brenner spent twenty-two years with Arthur Andersen & Co., eleven as a partner.During those years he served clients directly in a variety of disciplines and industries and assumed worldwide management responsibility for selected industry programs, including construction and real estate.Such responsibilities included planning and directing the growth of the practice, developing marketing programs, maintaining quality control over service, and selecting and developing personnel. Throughout his career, Mr. Brenner has served clients and their legal counsel on a broad range of litigation matters.In addition to testifying as an expert witness, he has consulted in regard to general contract dis­putes, government contract issues, damage claims and lost profit calculations. Mr. Brenner is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Account­ants and various state CPA Societies and has served as chairman and member of several of their committees and task forces.He was elected "Practicing Member" of the Academy of Experts, a world-wide, multi-disciplinary body of experts, and "Certified Management Consultant" by the Institute of Management Consultants.Also, he has been accredited as a "Certified Valuation Analyst" by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and as a "Certified Fraud Examiner" by The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.In addition, he serves as a Commercial and Construction Arbitrator and as a Mediator for the American Arbitration Association.He has a BSC (Accounting) and a MBA in Personnel Administra­tion from DePaul University.
