Donald L. Brenner is Founder and a Principal of The Brenner Group, a litigation, financial and operational consulting firm providing services to a variety of industries, including the construction and real estate industries. Since founding The Brenner Group in 1983, Mr. Brenner has worked on a variety of assignments, including litigation support and expert witness testimony, and crisis management / workout assignments.
The litigation assignments have dealt with construction / engineering disputes, fraud, surety bond issues, accountants malpractice, real estate matters and damage calculations.His involvement on crisis management assignments have included the roles of President / C.E.O. of a large national mechanical contractor in re-organization, Chief Executive Officer of a international electrical and mechanical contractor in a turnaround mode, a crisis manager of a general contractor in workout, and consulting on the restructuring of a specialty subcontractor. Mr. Brenner spent twenty-two years with Arthur Andersen & Co., eleven as a partner.
During those years he
served clients directly in a variety of disciplines and industries and assumed worldwide management responsibility for selected industry programs, including construction and real estate.Such responsibilities included planning and directing the growth of the practice, developing marketing programs, maintaining quality control over service, and selecting and developing personnel.

From 1977 through 1981, Mr. Brenner served as Chairman, Edit Committee of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' technical committee, which was commissioned to revise and update the AICPA publication Audit and Accounting Guide for Construction Contractors.After publication of the guide in 1981, he was Chairman of the Construction Task Force of the AICPA.
