Don Lee Senior Director, Arts and Culture Don Lee leads Minnesota Public Radio's initiative to expand music, arts and cultural programming. Prior to MPR, Lee worked for NPR for 18 years, serving as executive producer of NPR's Performance Today, during which time the show received a Peabody Award (1998), the ASCAP/Deems Taylor Broadcast Award (1996) and the New York Festival gold medal (1992). The show is managed by Don Lee, MPR's senior director for arts and culture.Lee is a Peabody-winning NPR producer (and Minnesota native) brought to town last February.

He describes a fluid format.
"It's going to be a combination of produced pieces, live conversation and live call-ins," he says.

Lee calls the KPCC idea "interesting" but emphasizes that the new show is intended to be regional.
"We hope to include film as a pretty regular feature.We certainly are not going to avoid it," he says.
