Don Hinderliter, M.D., Medical DirectorDr. Hinderliter received his medical degree from the University of Illinois in 1961 and interned at Decatur Macon County Hospital in Decatur IL.Dr. Hinderliter served two years in the United States Public Health Service and has had a general practice for over 38 years in Rochelle IL.He has served various positions at the Rochelle Community Hospital including four terms with the Rochelle Community Hospital Board of Directors.Dr. Hinderliter was appointed Chairman of the Illinois State Medical Society Political Action Committee and has served as Past President of the Ogle County Medical Society and is a current member of the Winnebago County Medical Society, the Illinois State Medical Society and the American Medical Association.In addition, Dr. Hinderliter functioned as medical director for the Logan Correctional Center for 3 years, was part time prison physician for the Dixon Correctional Center as well as the Menard and Pontiac State Prisons.He was named Ogle County delegate to the Illinois State Medical Society for many years and has served on many Reference Committees, chairing Reference Committees at Illinois State Conventions.Dr. Hinderliter
has been the Illinois delegate to the American Academy of Family Physicians
.He was a Fellow of the Illinois Academy of Family Practice and in turn has served as a board member and was named Chairman of the Board during his last term.Dr. Hinderliter has also served as Vice Speaker of delegates to the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians, and is currently serving on the board of directors of the Winnebago County Medical Society.
