As the son of the original founder, Christy
worked closely with his
father to help develop the company's traditional brand, N.A.D.A. Appraisal Guides
, and its online entity, NADAguides.com
, into the unified publishing powerhouse it is today.
After attending junior college, Christy officially joined the family owned-and-operated business where he began his career by assisting in the distribution of hundreds of thousands of vehicle appraisal guidebooks each year.
In 1976, Christy
was promoted to the sales department, managing the strategic development of new business alliances in the banking, insurance, and automotive industries.
established relationships with government regulatory agencies and finance professionals, helping to establish the company as the respected leader in vehicle valuation information.
In 1980, Christy
transitioned to the editorial department and in 1984, accepted the position of managing editor.
Four years later, he was appointed to the position of general manager and marketing director.
In his role as general manager, Christy was responsible for overseeing all daily operations as well as maintaining profitability with the company's comprehensive client roster.
In 1991, Christy became President and CEO of NADAguides.com, where he serves as the visionary leader for the company's traditional and online operations.
Additionally, Christy's love for collectible cars and his
passion for motorsports makes him one of the publishing industry's most avid vehicle enthusiasts - attributes that have helped him manage and relate to his
staff, industry professionals and consumers on virtually every level.
