After a highly successful career spanning more than twenty years, Don Billinghurst has stepped down as Business Development Director of VISTA and will be leaving the Company at the end of the year. However, Don will continue to be actively involved in the publishing community through his extensive industry relationships and by offering consultative expertise focusing on publishing industry business requirements.

Thanking him for his long term dedication to the company, VISTA's European Managing Director, Colin Bottle said, "Don has worked with great commitment and enthusiasm to support the development of VISTA as the leading supplier of business information systems to the publishing industry. He will be much missed by all his colleagues in the management team and will leave with our thanks and appreciation." "I take much pleasure in all that has been achieved during my time with VISTA," said Don. "It has been a privilege to establish and maintain close working relationships with organizations from all parts of the publishing business."
In addition to his role in VISTA's Business Development Team, during his time at VISTA Don has initiated and managed VISTA's account relationships with many major publishing customers and was also responsible for setting up the VISTA European User Group. Outside of VISTA, Don has been involved in many publishing industry forums and committees. He was a founding member of Book Industry Communications (BIC) -- later Editeur, as well as a member of many BIC committees; he was a regular and active participant in the ICEDIS forum and a founding director of First Edition.
In 2006, Mr. Billinghurst intends to establish a new consulting practice, aimed at providing consultative services for publishers with a particular focus on business process and supply chain solutions.
"I'm looking forward to the new challenges ahead enormously and I will be leaving VISTA in the new year feeling fortunate to have had the opportunity for the experiences while working there. I wish the Company much and continued success in the future."
