Dolores Moorehead, Multicultural Client Services Manager, has 26 years of progressive experience in cancer services. Prior to joining WCRC in 2002, she worked at the American Cancer Society for more than thirteen years. In October 2005, she was awarded the Spirit of Activism Award by Breast Cancer Action (BCA), and in May 2008, she received the prestigious Lane Adams Quality of Life Award from the American Cancer Society. Dolores also chaired the Each One, Reach One Conference Planning committee in 2006.

Dolores Moorehead, BS Connect with Dolores Meet Dolores Dolores Moorehead received a B. S. in Psychology with honors from Walden University and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She obtained training from The Center of Mind Body Medicine as a facilitator in Mind Body Relaxation Skills. She is employed with the Women's Cancer Resource Center (WCRC) as the Multicultural Client Services Manager. Prior to joining the staff of WCRC, Dolores worked for the American Cancer Society. For twenty-eight years, Dolores has passionately devoted her professional career to serving individuals with cancer in the San Francisco Bay Area. In her position with WCRC, Dolores acts as an advocate and patient navigator to eliminate barriers that exist in the medical system so that all women diagnosed with cancer receive quality health care. She has worked with diverse populations including LGBTQI, African Americans, Latinos, and Asian Pacific Islanders. In May 2006, Dolores chaired the planning committee for the Bay Area Breast Cancer conference for African Americans, reaching more than 250 women. The conference is now coordinated by Stanford, and continues to be successful. Dolores was a 2005 recipient of the Breast Cancer Action's Spirit of Activism Award, recognizing her longstanding commitment to ensuring that low income women have equal access to cancer care and support. In 2008, she received the American Cancer Society's National Lane Adams Quality of Life Award in recognition of exemplary cancer care and ongoing support to cancer patients. In 2012, Dolores received the Community of Service Award from The Over-flowing Cup Breast Health & Women's Empowerment Program for her dedication to changing the course of breast cancer for all women. Dolores was born and raised in the Northern California. She has one adult daughter and is an avid advocate for animal rights. She is creative and enjoys leisurely reading when time permits.
