Dirk Aardsma
VP for Programs and Religious Practices Dirk Aardsma Dirk Aardsma VP for Programs and Religious Practices Dirk Aardsma, Vice President for Programs and Religious Practices Dirk has been a member of Adas Israel since 2003 when he moved to Washington DC from Colorado by way of Florida. He is a member of the synagogue's board of directors and chairs the Religious Practices Committee. He has been a member of the Traditional Egalitarian Minyan's Coordinating committee since 2004 and helps out with service coordination and other arrangements. With help from Hazzan Greenberg, Cantor Singer, and Lou Rosen, he learned to daven and chant haftarot and has done so for the daily minyan, on Shabbat and the Chagim, and at High Holy Day services. Dirk is a CPA and taught American literature at the University of Colorado and high school English in Florida. Dirk lives in the District of Columbia.

His son Geoffrey lives and works in Colorado. Dirk lives in the District of Columbia with his wife Patricia.

If you would like to serve on the Minyan Coordinating Committee (MCC), please contact Dirk Aardsma or one of the other coordinators: Rebecca Boggs, Ken Goldstein, Rebecca Smolar, and Nechama Masliansky.
